Involuntary silence

Just as it did this time last year, my internet at home has taken an unannounced hiatus. So no posts last week and no post of substance today.  With any luck this will clear up by the end of the week and I'll be back to my normal posting schedule.  I hope you're all keeping cool; keep a good thought for those whose power was knocked out over the weekend by storms and for those being threatened by the wildfires out west.
